Montana TRYOUT Cap Set is an all-round collection of 10 different spray caps, designed to let you experiment with a wide variety of spray styles and techniques.

The set ranges from skinny to fat caps and round to rectangular spray patterns, giving you different options for fine lines, outlines, fills, broad strokes, calligraphy and special effects—all in one pack.

SPRAY RANGE

There isn’t one fixed spray width for this set because each of the 10 caps produces a different output.

Depending on the cap selected, you can move between:

Skinny → fine lines & details
Medium → outlines & general work
Fat → fills & broad coverage
Effect → calligraphy, textures & experimental marks

Your spraying distance also changes the result:

Closer = narrower, more concentrated spray
Further away = wider, softer spray

HOW TO USE

1. Choose a cap depending on the line, width or effect you want.
2. Remove the existing cap from your compatible spray can.
3. Press your selected cap firmly onto the valve stem.
4. Test the cap on a spare surface before starting.
5. Experiment with spraying distance to change the width and character of the spray.
6. Switch between caps throughout your project for different lines, fills and effects.
7. Remove and clean caps after use when necessary to help prevent clogging.

Tip: If you’re new to spray caps, test all 10 on the same spare surface and label each result. You’ll quickly see which caps you prefer for outlines, fills, effects and lettering.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW

The TRYOUT Set is designed around variety rather than one progressive sizing system. Unlike the Level 1–6 Set, the caps don’t simply move from smallest to largest—they also give you different spray shapes, characteristics and effects.
