MONTANA CAP - CALLIGRAPHY EFFECT WHITE/BLACK

Montana CALLIGRAPHY Cap is a special-effect cap designed to create distinctive rectangular, calligraphy-style spray marks instead of the traditional round spray pattern.

Its adjustable nozzle can be rotated between vertical and horizontal positions, allowing you to create different stroke directions similar to working with a calligraphy marker or brush. It’s ideal for lettering, tagging, fills and creative line work.

The spray width changes depending on your distance from the surface:

Closer = thinner, more defined strokes
Further away = wider, broader strokes

Unlike a standard cap, the spray pattern is rectangular rather than round, giving your lines their characteristic calligraphy appearance. 

ADJUSTABLE SPRAY DIRECTION

Rotate the nozzle to change the orientation of your stroke:

Vertical position = vertical spray pattern
Horizontal position = horizontal spray pattern

You can use this to create different line weights and calligraphy-style effects while you work. 

HOW TO USE

1. Remove the existing cap from your compatible spray can.
2. Press the CALLIGRAPHY Cap firmly onto the valve stem.
3. Rotate the nozzle to choose your preferred spray direction.
4. Test the spray on a spare surface before starting.
5. Spray closer for narrower strokes or further away for wider strokes.
6. Experiment with rotating the nozzle to create different lettering and line effects.
7. Keep the can moving during fills to help distribute the paint evenly.
8. Remove and clean the cap after use when necessary to help prevent clogging.

Tip: Try changing the nozzle orientation while practicing your lettering. Switching between vertical and horizontal spray patterns can create dramatic differences between thick and thin strokes.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW

The CALLIGRAPHY Cap has a high, wet paint output and can be quite drippy, particularly when used for fills. Keep the can moving and test your spraying distance before working on your final piece. 

The stated 1.5–8 cm spray width is approximate and varies depending on distance, can pressure and technique.
