MONTANA CAP - GREY/BLUE

Montana GREY/BLUE Soft Cap is a soft spray cap designed specifically for smooth fades, gradients and seamless color transitions.

Rather than producing hard, sharp edges, it creates a softer spray pattern that gradually transitions from painted to unpainted areas. This makes it especially useful for layering colors, shading and creating smooth blends. Montana also recommends it for fading with high-pressure cans.

The spray width changes depending on your distance from the surface:

Closer = narrower, more concentrated spray
Further away = wider, softer spray

Moving further from the surface is especially useful when creating smooth fades and gradual transitions. 

HOW TO USE

1. Remove the existing cap from your compatible spray can.
2. Press the GREY/BLUE Soft Cap firmly onto the valve stem.
3. Test spray on a spare surface before starting.
4. Hold the can closer for a more concentrated application.
5. Move further away when you want a wider, softer transition.
6. Build gradients gradually using light, controlled passes.
7. Slightly overlap colors when blending to create smoother transitions.
8. Remove and clean the cap after use when necessary to help prevent clogging.

Tip: When creating a gradient, build the color slowly with light passes. Moving slightly further from the surface helps soften the edge and makes blending between colors easier.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW

This is a Soft Cap, so it is designed for smooth transitions rather than sharp, highly defined lines. If your project requires very precise outlines or fine details, a skinny or outline cap will be more suitable.
